Extras are needed to fill the scenes of just about every film  and programme in existence. Without 'extras' most scenes would be very strange. Imagine watching Eastenders where there is never anyone in the market or in the Queen Vic - It would resemble a ghost town. Extras are the backbone of films, TV and commercials and are a great stepping stone into acting.
